In order to increase the safety awareness of teachers and students and improve their abilities in self-protection, the Security Department of Party Committee, Communist Youth League and the Volunteers Association and Safety Committee of the UJN initiated the National Prevention Services Day and Safety Month Activities of 2020, themed as life first and safe development. The opening ceremony was held on November 9 at the Eighth Canteen Square, and some relevant principals from the above institutions attended it.

At the beginning of ceremony, the representative of volunteers read the Fire Safety Proposal to advocate teachers and students to improve safety awareness and learn knowledge of firefighting. When the 2020 National Fire Prevention Day and Safety Month Activities of UJN officially launched, Li Peng from Security Office demonstrated the usage of firefighting equipment for audiences. In the training process, Teacher Li pointed out the importance of fire protection and prevention and taught some knowledge on emergency measures and precautions against fire. During the ceremony, students signed their names on the banner of Fire Prevention First to show their determination and then actively participated in the prize-giving contest game, acquiring more knowledge about firefighting.

The activity promoted construction of the Safe Campus Project by passing on knowledge of firefighting to teachers and students. November is the National Fire Prevention Month. Under the guidance of the Security Department of Party Committee and Communist Youth League of UJN, volunteers shall perform the publicity of the safety month and hold a series of activities of fire safety education so as to eradicate fire risks on campus.
