On the evening of May 4th, the May Fourth Youth Day special program Struggle for Youth-“Flowers in May” of 2021, an art performance from college and middle school students all over the country, sponsored by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, the Ministry of Education and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and hosted by CCTV was broadcast on CCTV-1 and CCTV-3. Wang Haichao and Yang Ahong, teachers of School of Music from UJN, as well as 31 students went to Beijing to participate in live performance. This is the sixth time that our students have been invited to the CCTV stage.

This year, the students of UJN participated in 11 performances during the “Flowers in May” party, including the opening dance “Running Youth”, “Youth”, “We”, “Lighting the Future”, “Heroes Praise”, “Breaking the Waves”, “Burning Snowflakes”, “Meeting Opera”, “Singing a Folk Song to the Communist Party of China”, “Writing a Chapter of Youth” and the ending dance “Hundred Years”. Working together with students of other schools, they gave a wonderful performance for the Youth Day this year, and drew a successful conclusion for this party.

During their stay in Beijing, the students of our school worked hard for their perfect performance on stage, and met the challenges again and again with the most careful attitude, which was unanimously affirmed by the director group. They’ve left the most proudest, confident and self-reliant quaity to everyone present.

In 2021, the “Flowers in May” art performance showed the youth, vitality, confidence and responsibility of contemporary young adults in diverse forms, and encouraged more young people to remember their mission and inherit the Spirit of the May Fourth Movement, presenting a good gift for the centennial birthday of the Communist Party of China.
