On the morning of November 20th, the report on Outstanding Deeds of College Graduates, hosted by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and co-organized by Shandong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security and the University of Jinan, was held in the First Academic Lecture Hall. Sun Xiaoli, the deputy director of the Human Resource Mobility Management Division of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, attended the seminar and delivered a speech, and Liu Yuliang, an inspector of Shandong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, also addressed a congratulation. The seminar was presided over by Zhang Shuoqiu, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Jinan. Some relevant principals from the above institutions, as well as more than 200 teachers and students from the UJN were present.
Liu Yuliang introduced in detail the preferential policies on supporting the employment and entrepreneurship of college graduates. He hoped the majority of young students would follow the examples of these graduates and struggle for their youth in the new journey towards building a socialist moderately prosperous country in all respects, realize the goal of “being in the forefront to build Shandong in an all-round way” of Shandong Province, and strive for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Five title winners of the 2019 Excellent Graduates of China, Wang Hui, Jin Caihong, Tao Jiangang, Qi Xiaojing, Dai Dongyuan, shared their own stories and inspirations. After graduation, they actively responded to the call of the CPC and the country, and dedicated themselves at grass-roots level, showing firm belief, patriotism and responsibility of the contemporary college graduates with their actions.
The Deputy Director Sun Xiaoli, spoke highly of Shandong Province, the hometown of Confucius and Mencius and a major province of education, and its great contributions to national science and education, and fully approved with the motto of the UJN of “firmness, erudition, truth, and goodness”. Director Sun profoundly expounded that working at basic level of our society is an important stage for college graduates to serve the country and grow up, and a right choice for young students to fasten the first button in their lives. She ardently hoped that more young people would learn from the good quality of these graduates and strive to realize their value of life in serving people in the grass-roots level.
Students who attended the lecture said that they really appreciate those graduates who gave up the better urban conditions and chose to work at the grassroots. Even without praise, those excellent graduates resolutely devoted themselves to the places where the motherland needed them most, enriching their youth with their practical actions and explaining the meaning of young people’s responsibility in the new era. The audiences said that when graduating from college, they would also apply for the similar opportunities and choose to go to the basic level of our society and make contributions to our country.
In the end, Deputy Secretary Zhang Shuoqiu expressed her hope that young people should face hardships and work tirelessly, with great passion for the country and the people, committing themselves into the fight for a brighter future. They should grow up conquering setbacks and hardships, hone their will and quality in hard work, accumulate their experience in practice, thus enriching their youth, serving the people and contributing to the motherland with their youth.
At the end of 2019, 10 graduates, Wang Hui, Wen Zhu, Dai Dongyuan, Liu Tianjiao, Qi Xiaojing, Li Jing, Yang Mei, Jin Caihong, Zong Lidong, Tao Jiangang, were awarded the title of “the Most Excellent College Graduates” by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. In order to actively guide the college graduates to work and create business in grass-root society, and vigorously carry forward the spirit of serving the grassroots and the country, the above-mentioned institutions recently launched a publicity activity on the outstanding deeds of these graduates, and organized those graduates to share the their work experience at grassroots and their feelings, guiding college graduates to actively participate in the grassroots to better serve the causes of poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, and realize their value of life in serving the people.
