On December 25, the ceremony for establishment of Spring City Library League and launching of its service platform was held. Li Guanghong, vice president of the University of Jinan, attended the ceremony with Yang Yanlu, secretary of the Party Committee of the Library of UJN, who signed the league agreement on behalf of our library.

Among libraries of universities and colleges located in Jinan, ours is the first to join the league, which means our library is now a provider of physical book lending service for users of the league, meanwhile, our teachers and students can also use their campus ID cards to borrow and return books from other libraries in the league. The University of Jinan has always adhered to the notion of openess, actively contributing to social, economic and cultural development. Our library will actively push the development of Spring City Library League, serve the people in Jinan, offer satisfying service to Jinan’s readers and improve its capabilities to serve our society, so that a positive front image can be built for our university, and a service platform for social and cultural exchanges can be offered to all the readers.

Spring City Library League, which was launched by Jinan Municipal Government, is one of the key projects for the people in 2019. It aims to improve Jinan’s cultural atmosphere by “creating a city soaked in the fragrance of books”. At present, its members include 30 libraries such as Shandong Provincial Library, the Library of UJN, Jinan City Library, and libraries of universities and colleges governed by Jinan Municipal Government, and some 300 community branches and Spring City Studies. And the books of any league member can circulate among all libraries having joined the league.
